After hearing Bulgarian folk music for the first time, Kunrad felt positively overwhelmed: the sounds seemed beyond the realm of possibilities. He abstracted the unique qualities of the traditional Bulgarian music and singing. These abstractions form the core elements of his composition. The piece is called Igrivo, which means playful in Bulgarian.
